Beautiful post. When you mentioned life verse, I thought oh no, what if mine is Jesus wept and then you said the same thing. LOL. Have a blessed week.

The timing of your posts is beginning to amuse me! During some quiet time last night God clearly asked me to focus my prayers on a specific request. When He does this I start a type of fast where water is the only thing I drink. You don't know how hard that is for a coffee lovin', diet pop lovin', iced tea lovin' gal like me! I've done this a handful of times and it is always challenging but oh so rewarding. So for the next 10 days I will be targeting my prayers in this way. Your devotion was a needed confirmation that this is what I'm supposed to be doing.
Your bunched up shirt story reminds me of what my hubby does to remember to pray...he bunches up his sock in his shoe and every time he takes a step it reminds him to pray. With his job he's on his feet alot so he prays alot using this method.
Sorry I've written a book...I just had to share though!
Thanks for your ministry to me.

Thanks for the devotion today.
There is a request so heavy on my heart right now. I won't go into it, but it involves many. If you would pray for a meeting that will be taking place Thurs. evening and then this Sun. evening at our church I'd appreciate it very much.
God is so good and so faithful and I totally agree with everything you stated about prayer in this devotion.
I need to know and trust God that He is in control.
I do have a prayer journal and many times through the years have prayed for my children and others and it is so cool to go back and see how God answered those prayers.
I appreciate Connie's comment and feel so blessed to have ladies praying for me all over the U.S., Canada and beyond.
Bless you today, Nancy & thanks again.
Love,
Valerie

Thanks for your devotion - in our home group yesterday, I almost mentioned this same idea! I try to do some type of association for friends or family that I want to pray for - and just as you said, when I see them I remember to pray for them. For me, it really helps.
Blessings to you!

Lots of thoughts after that devotion. First off thank you for being faithful and beingused of God...I think you are turning into wine! LOL! It alsooccured to me that when I have a very serious prayer focus I use fasting in the same way you use bracelets. Whenever the hugner hits, the stomach growls or I think of food I stop and pray. Of course you can't fast every day. I need to focus on joy...being joyful...keeping my eys on Jesus and not the multitude of harried moments all around me. I wonder what I can make to keep me focused on that. A smiley face sticker on my hand, maybe? LOL! For today it was my experience last night where God reached in and allowed me to reap what i had sown that is keeping me focused today...which I will blog about later on. Oh, and thanks for you comment on my site. Now to check out my life verse! Have a great week!

Great devo. I've never thought of a bracelet. We really could use just about anything. Maybe a specfic coffee cup, or specific pen.

Thank the Lord for this video too, Nancy! Thankyou for your prayers-I can always feel it when people are praying for me and I ask God to immeasureably bless them back!

This story about John 2 Beth went over at the end of Deeper Still this weekend...I want to be 100% supernatural causes as she would say...praise the Lord for your encouragement to me!:)

Nancy,
I love this! I wrote an article for IncenseRising online magazine last year that is very similar...ways to carry God with you all day long. And, I have the Believing God bracelet too! I love it. It is so nice to see your precious face!

Nancy, thanks for your sweet comment on my post about quitting a volunteer job. I'm going to do a new post about it. I think I know what the problem is.

Nancy,
Wonderful words of advice on how to target our prayers and why we need to do so.

I have the next 2 days off from work...and guess what I'm gonna be making...yep, a special prayer bracelet. Although the Lord has placed a particular person on my heart to pray for, I've not done so as regularly as I should. The bracelet will be a great reminder. Thank you once again for a wonderful devotional.

Nancy,

I was thinking about Psalm 16:2 this morning, and I was thinking that we are all really miracles of his GOODNESS in us, because we have NO good in us besides or beyond Him. I love this verse translation in the Amplified version the most.

Wanted to share with you,

LOVE in CHRIST,

Nancy, you are a precious person! Thank you so much for that. I will definitely be copying some of those ideas that you shared. Even with the life verse bracelets from Lifeway, those would make great gifts. I am an accessory kind-of-girl, so I LOVE the bracelet idea. Thanks so much for sharing. I pray God will bless you and your family and your ministry. Michele

Nancy, I loved this video devotion! Reading is great, but listening to you share your heart was even better. *grin*
As for not wearing the clothes pin to the grocery store...You never know what conversations it could start!

Enjoyed your devotional Nancy! This may sound strange but sometimes when I am riding my horse in the evening through the woods I pray. I am all alone, except for my horse, and it is quiet with just the woods sounds about me so is a perfect time to be in prayer for the many people that are on my prayer list. Bet you don't get this one very often! heehee! Looking forward to your next devotional!! :o)

Last night at our youth meeting one of the other sponsors showed me a little brown bracelet she had made and metioned having the kids wear something like it & having a prayer partner for the month. I asked her if I could have it and plan to keep it on as a reminder to pray, pray, pray for so many things on my heart right now.
I thought it was neat since I had watched your video on Mon. and then she mentioned that on Wed.

It's hard to talk straight into a camera like that without "goofing" up a lot. You did it very well - just passing through. Stick a close pin on for me.
