Pray for Grant

My silly picture with the facial mask seems so trivial as I receive an update from my friend, Emily,  who's 8 year old son has an unknown muscle disorder. They are asking for prayer as the doctors search to find a diagnosis, treatment, and a cure for this life-threatening disorder.

Please pray for little Grant and his family.  They love the Lord with all their hearts, but are weary amidst these great trials.  My husband and I know what it is like to deeply love the Lord, yet ponder the vastness of His will as we helplessly watch our child suffer.  Such are the mysteries of the great I AM.  Who can fathom His great wisdom and knowledge?  Who can measure His great love for us? Far beyond what we can ever comprehend, God is God and we are not. Because of this, we give Him all the power, honor, and glory! Even in the midst of our trials.

You can visit his journal at:  Grant's Site.

Romans 11:36 "For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever! Amen."

Nancy, I checked back to see if you had a reveal and saw this post. I have lifted Grant up in prayer and will continue to do so.

I lift up Grant and his weary parents today. Bless their hearts. You are right Nancy...who can understand the mysteries of God? but one day....
one day...(come quickly Lord, Jesus) we will understand. I feel so burdened lately when reading so many blogs where so many are dealing with very serious situations. We are told to bear one another's burdens and this is a very special way God has sent for us to do that.
Chuck Swindoll had a great devotional today about impossible situations. It's on the "Insight For Living" site.
It's good to see some fun and less serious things on the blogs as well as the serious prayer requests and needs. I think you deserve a little pampering! :)

Hi, Nancy, this is Grant.

Thank you for putting my picture on your site. Thank you for everything. We are praying for your daughter, Dani. I like the picture [of Ecclesi] with green feet. It was super funny. Ecclesiastes is a good name and a funny name...for a dog. Love, Grant.

When I read your thoughts about this family and about your struggles alongside all of ours in understanding the will of God, I was struck by your wording. Today I wrote a prayer on my blog with these same words...

"Who can fathom the depths of your wisdom?"

Indeed, who can? His thoughts and his ways exceed mine. And somehow, strangely, that brings me a great measure of peace.
