Where Were You When the Lights Went ON?

Last Christmas we hung white lights on our deck and soon discovered we not only loved the look but the function as well. We were potty training Ecclesiastes at the time and it was a tremendous help to be able to see at 3am. Eventually the lights burned out, the summer gave us more daylight hours, and potty training was complete.

But things have shifted. With fall approaching and the sun going down earlier each evening, Ecclesi was beginning to have trouble maneuvering around. Ducking and dodging at shadows from the porch light, it was clear he needed a little help. So off to the store we went to purchase more lights and...whala...we're ready for winter.

We had a blast decorating the deck at night!

Beautiful!
You might say I have a new appreciation for lights. We were without power for 2+ days due to HURRICANE Ike in OHIO!!
Anyway, thanks for sharing those beautiful pictures. Your husband is such a talented photographer...I love that last picture. I was just catching up with your blog and saw those precious pictures of Emersyn too.
Priceless.
Blessings,
Kelli

Amazing how such a simple string of lights can brighten a dark path. Hmmm! Sounds like a scripture verse: "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path" (Ps. 119:105).

Your husband has an amazing talent of capturing beauty at its finest.

Great pictures and unlike the pictures around here, there are lights and no downed trees!

You have inspired me to decorate for fall.

You know Mrs. Nancy, I was thinking about your video devotion where you talked about your daughter, and having to take care of her for the rest of your days. And I was thinking that since God knew that He would give you her, He has equipped you to be everything you need to be for her. He has blessed you with an opportunity to pour out your life as a drink offering in ministry to your husband, children (you have 2 kids, right?) and other women (like me)! The Lord has given you a heart for Himself. He is your Very Great Reward:) He loves you lots:)
