A Sad September 11

Jimmy and I had the sad occasion to photograph our friends' infant who died in the womb just weeks before the due date.  We were requested by the family to come and it was our gift to help them remember their precious little girl. It was a heart wrenching experience Jimmy wrote about in his photography blog.

Please pray for this family.  They know the Lord but are amidst great grief.  The funeral is Monday and Jimmy's work will be on display to honor little Emersyn.

"The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,
he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever."
Psalm 23:1-6

Thank you for stopping by my blog. It is so nice to meet you! The photos of Emersyn made me cry. So precious. What a gift that you and your husband were there for them. Prayers for the family for sure.
Blessings to you and yours.

What a blessing those pictures will be to the family. We have dear friends and family who have been through very similiar experiences. Will most certainly be praying for the family.

Thank you for sharing this. The photos are absolutely precious. She looks so peaceful.

As I commented on your husband's blog, we attended a funeral this morning for our friend's dad. He was a Christian but the sadness is still very present. Jimmy's advice on how to help those who are grieving was very timely.

Thank you!

Hey Nancy,

I was catching up on what I've missed on your blog today. I am saddened by this loss. I am praying that God would be their very real comfort, and that He would sustain them, and that they would consist in Him. I also enjoyed seeing your pictures. You have been very blessed Nancy. God has such a plan for your life:)

With much love in Christ,

Your husband did an excellent job on the photos. Baby Emersyn looks like a little angel. It's so tragic and so hard to understand.
I will definitely keep this family in my prayers. Thank you for sharing this with us. You bless so many lives Nancy.

So very sad, Linda. His photos are beautiful - I know Emersyn's mom and dad must treasure them. It's so hard to understand why something like this happens. What a precious baby.

Those are the most precious pictures. I am choking back the tears. What an incredible gift you have given to that family. May God comfort and bless all whose lives have been touched by that sweet angel for even so brief a time.

what beautifully done photographs for such a sad occasion. My heart breaks for that family, but I'm sure they will have some measure of peace and comfort by having these beautiful pictures of their daugher. My prayers go out to the parents.
