Thanks Nancy for the prayer insight...Yes, No, and Wait...I think I'm still waiting...but I'm glad to be waiting knowing that He is going to answer one way or the other and that I will be given the grace to accept that answer...He has been doing amazing things, incredible things:) I love it! Being a child of God is the best!

Nancy, I have read that passage in Daniel before about the spiritual warfare but had forgotten it and how it could apply to my own prayer life. Thanks so much for the reminder! Good stuff!!

Hi Nancy. I'm just now able to watch your devo. I love hearing more about prayer. I think I can always use some fine tuning on it. This subject you proached is very interesting as I posted a piece back in May regarding God's three answer. I titled mine "Busy Signal". I didn't have such detail on the wait answer though. I love your analogy of the three waiting rooms. I think I am either in waiting room 2 or 3. It could be 2 because my circumstance (or my beloved rather) is not ready. It could be 3 because my beloved is involved in a spiritual warfare. That is, the enemy is trying to convince him of false truths and lies.

Check out my post if you have time. I haven't read my own piece since May so I've forgotten how close they are or aren't.
This might get you directly there.

Nancy,

Thank you for stopping by my blog. I'm sorry it's taken me so long to get over here to yours! God does answer prayer!! He is so amazing, even if He says no, and even if he makes us wait!! He is so good!

Back to read this time around. Awesome! So encouraging. I had forgotten about that verse in Daniel. There is often so much more going on that we don't see and understand. We must rest on the promise that He hears and will answer according to HIS timing and perfect will! Great stuff. I love getting to know your heart!

I am so thankful for the times God has said NO. In His infinite wisdom He has protected me from things I wanted which would not have been good for me.
WAIT is harder but I know I can trust Him.

Well Nancy, this couldn't have come at a better time to confirm some of what I believe the Lord has been doing in my life. I have been in the waiting room for a while and it seems I am coming out, but not with some huge break through or some awesome revelation. It is slower this time and there seems to be stops along the way of this coming out of the waiting period. I am currently reading a very good book entitled,
Emotionally Healthy Spirituality by Peter Scazzero. This book has opened my eyes and enabled me to see some things in a new light. It also confirms some of the understanding I have gained through my experience with God and people.

I've been on vacation and am playing catch-up on my blog.
I love this devotion. It's always good to be reminded about how God answers prayers. Yes, waiting can be frustrating, but rushing ahead of God can be destructive.
Thank you so much for taking time to do this each week.
I loved the passage from Daniel.
Love,
Valerie

Nancy, what a timely devo, I came across your blog and put it on my favorites and when I have time at work I go and read some. God must have known I needed that.

GOD BLESS YOu, keep them coming!
We're reading them, in God's perfect timing!
