Nancy,
Our child protection filter pretty much filters everything out that's on YouTube.

I'm sure your devotional was good - hate I missed it!

Very interesting. I have prayed for my sons to grow in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and their fellow man like they said Jesus grew. But I haven't ever singled out a biblical character. I pray Colossians 1:9-12 for them all the time as well...I wonder if I could pray certain chacter strengths of different people...the faith of Abraham, the perseverance of Joseph etc...thanks for this. I enjoyed it!

Nancy, I loved this tip -- one that strengthens our prayers and also helps make the Word come alive for us. I'm going to have to think about which Bible characters I should pray over my family!

You're one of my first stops on Mondays! I'm loving your mini-lessons via video. Your passion for Jesus shines through, and I imagine that you are just as you appear--a sincere, genuine, Jesus-lover. Have a blessed week!

Nancy, this devotional was wonderful, and practical, as always. This week, I'll be praying about and researching which biblical person I want to pray over each of my family members.

Thank you again and have a wonderful week.

I just love these video devotions. Reading is great, but there's something better about hearing the passion in your words.
Thanks so much for sharing these thoughts!

I have never thought about taking the characteristics of a very specific character in the Bible and praying them over a family member. This is a great idea! I need to begin reviewing characters of the Bible to select one for my husband.

I have finally gotten to watch the past 3 videos. I got behind from vacation. I have loved the suggestions on prayer. Thank you for sharing your ideas on the bracelets. I'm so glad you are sharing these devotion videos! I would like to apply some of your ideas in my life. Thank you again!!

Oh, I love this guidance. I am always looking for ways to pray for my family members. Who better to pattern our prayers after than characters God thought important enough to mention in the Bible!

Nancy,

I have request. I not sure how to contact you except this way, so here goes: I have a friend, Dominique, who has a 22 year old friend who is a mother of a retarded girl who is severe enough to be on a feeding tube. Domique was telling me that her friend burst into tears the other day while they were driving somewhere together. She said that her friend was feeling overwhelmed and helpless and just in need of some prayer and encouragement. I mentioned your blog to her and your experience with your daughter. If I could get her contact info, would you be willing to write her a note of encouragement? I know some writer's choose to minister mostly through their studies, so I understand if you can't go against your set up boundaries:) If you have some verses for that girl or something like that, you could post them on my blog and I would get them to her...just a thought:)

You have a blessed day and sorry for the long post:)
